Nothing says, “Public Speaker & Keynote Expert” like  action photographs showing YOU on stage with a microphone or clicker and a captive audience.

Uploading onto your website photos of yourself giving a presentation is a great part of building credibility and monetizing your industry experience. When visitors—potential clients and collaborators—see you in action through your speaker photos, their trust in what you have to offer rises significantly.

Additionally, speaker photos can be repurposed and used in many ways, which can lead to huge opportunities for you.

So don’t delay! Book your professional photography session now for Podfest 2024!

Let’s take your brand further than a smartphone pic, shall we?

Hiring a professional photographer (who is also an experienced speaker) will get you action shots that will set you apart, build your brand, and strengthen your confidence.

For Podfest 2024, you can decide how much coverage you’d like during your presentation with the Silver and Gold options. And along the way, I’ll give you insider tips to making your talk one of the best ever!

Session F.A.Q.s

What type of images will I receive?
You will get high-resolution JPGs/digital downloads to keep. Additional images—and your entire gallery—can also be purchased.

How does a photo gallery work?
In 12-15 business days, you will receive proofs of all the photos. They may be unedited before you make your selection of the ones you want to keep. Then, light editing, if needed, will take a few more days. After that, you’ll be able to download the images. Rush orders incur an additional fee.

Why do you allot five minutes for speaker photos ?
Generally, most people repeat their go-to gestures within a three-minute period. Thus, five minutes allows for plenty of time to capture you in action and within budget. For more time, please email me for a custom package.

What should I wear? Do I need make-up?
Wear something which makes you feel fabulous, confident, and comfortable!
Make-up for women is recommended as it can even out and smooth facial skin. And, it can be flattering if done tastefully. It’s really up to you. If you decide to go au naturel, please consider clear lip gloss. That alone will make a difference.
For men, make-up is not necessary. Make sure facial hair is just the way you want it.

How will you find me when I’m giving my talk?
You will let me know the day, time, and room where you’ll be. And, if anything changes, you will text/call me right away. : )

Do I own the rights to these photos?
Glad you asked!
You may use your photos as you like as long as you don’t use them for commercial purposes. As the creator I own the copyright, so I may use them for things such as social media, entering photo contests, and teaching purposes. You, do, however, agree to credit/tag me when posting or publishing the photos. (That’s common practice and courtesy.)

Why are some indoor photos better than others? Does it have to do with the lighting?
Good question! Yes, in photography, lighting is key! Some stages are lighted better than others. As photographers, we cannot control what event organizers opt to do for their visual effects, including lighting. And, flash lighting is not allowed.

About Uehara Photography
Hi, I’m Lee Uehara,** and I’ve been capturing moments, action, and people since I was five years old—that’s when my father gave me my first camera!

I’ve been a photographer for 30+ years, classically trained the old-fashioned way with film and Ansel Adams’s Zone System. I won my my first award—and published commission—in high school.

As a speaker, I understand what it means to have professional photographs taken while you’re doing your thing. And what’s more? I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE getting those action shots and photo-journals of people in their element: Sharing their message and expertise to a captive audience and their “Day in the Life of” moments and processes.

When we work together, I’m not just your personal photographer but also your coach – if you like. As a professional speaker, I’ll not only give you my tips on giving a great talk but I’ll also share my tips on how to be photographed as a speaker.

**”Uehara” is pronounced “waaay-ha-rah” – like “waaay to go!” Fun Fact: It’s Japanese!
